Ever had a great flight in your favorite amphib, landed her in your favorite lake or bay? You approach the shore, drop the gear, and slowly taxi up to the beach. Just as you are about to pop out of the water, the plane leaps airborn again for about 15 feet, and then crashes down onto the land, collapsing the gear or destroying the airplane, not to mention soiling your passengers' pants. Any idea how to correct this atrocious anomoly??

No problem here using the Caravan with either Steve Small, Ron Freimuth or Rob Young flight models.

Suggest you try a revised flight model for that amphibian or drop the designer a line and see if he can fix it.

Normally when I beach my plane I have the engine off and drift using inertia to get me up on the sand. I don't even bother to drop the landing gear. The plane comes to a stop half way out of the water. Shift+P will push back into the water.

If you exit the flight and go back where you left off, the landing gear on the amphib will be down.

I haven't tried to power up the beach and drop the gear before hitting land. There should be boat launches in FS02 to allow for that though.
