VFR UK Flight - Lots of photo scenery - Carenado PA28 - Shoreham to Calais

A most enjoyable VFR flight. The pictures don't do it any justice but I hope you enjoy them anyway!

1) Hopping aboard the piper that is going to take us accross the Channel.

2) We can taxi out to the active...

3) Using the grass runway at Shoreham, we'll use some flap for take off...

4) Off we go!

5) Passing Brighton...

6) The English countryside passes below us...

7) Tracking along the south coast...

8) A shot from the cockpit...

9) Anyone for a round of golf?

10) Just lovely up here...

11) Passing Ashford, and the Euro Tunnel station...

12) Finally we reach Dover (where I was a couple of weeks ago, but on a boat!) and go feet wet...

13) Have done this bit in real life... water all around...

14) Someone tell MS, there should be lots of cross channel ferries below us...

15) And a very poor representation of Calais harbour. This should be bustling!!

16) Turning final at Calais...

17) Very short final for 24...

18) We taxi in. Unlike Le Touquet, there is no CYCLING MARSHALL to follow!!!

19) Safely on French tarmac. Time for a coffee and a bite to eat!

What a post my friend!! Lovely, lovely shots, they are just fantastic!!

Now, will you pick me up some French wine, and some Champagne? I need to replace some that I took this weekend at our party. I will pay you, don't worry. I can pay you in repairs to your Piper correct? I think a nice pink coat shall do the trick
