Visdta 64 FSX SP2 Dreamfleet2000 Dakota?

Hi All,

I would like to purchase the Dreamfleet2000 Dakota for FSX but it says that it is not compatible with Vista 64 bit which is what I have. I have a feeling that this might be because of the "data execute protection" facility in Vista 64.

Does anyone have any experience on running the Dakota on Vista 64? Or does anyone know what doesn't work with the Dakota on Vista 64?

I'd love ot have this aircraft but don't really want to sahell out the money unless I've got more details on what doesn't work.

I believe it's the RXP gauges. RealityXP do have a set of gauges that work in 64, but Dreamfleet are using older versions. So you'd need to get the standalone RXP gauge set and retrofit them. Or at least so I've read.

Dreamfleet have their support forum further down this board, so your best bet for a definitive answer would be to ask there.

That's correct. I'm also a Vista 64 user so it sucks that the new ones aren't in the Dakota. But it is indeed the RXP gauges, they used a 16bit trainer in order to work. As you know 16bit doesn't work with 64bit.
