HELP!! Lost some paint

Hope someone can help me with this.
I've been using the FSX for a couple of hours and all of a sudden, the aircraft I was using lost all paint textures. I loaded another aircraft and the same thing. BUT not all paint schemes are missing. some 3rd party aircraft are ok, but some do not show the paint. I re-installed the aircraft that was missing the paint scheme, but the problem still presists. I even put the discs for FSX and Acceleration and re-installed them both, still the same problem. I'm not too savve about computers, so if you can help, please explain it in a simple way so as to understand.

well best if in fsx fourm but, what i can say is, try to competly uninstal, reinstall, make sure dircet x 10 is OFF , it does cause alot of issue. try this and see what happens.

Before you reinstall, make sure your Direct X 10 box is NOT checked.

I had the same exact problem, and unchecking that box, restarting FSX fixed it for me.
