Default Unable to change fuel weight!!!

For some inexplicable reason I am unable to change the fuel weight

This feature WAS working until today..................

When I change the weight for departure etc the change is made in the usual way but after giving the OK and closing the window, going back to cockpit view the weight reverts to the "default" full weight (eg 45586lb in the default 737-800) after about 2 seconds in the cockpit

Have rebooted the Sim - no change.
    Rebooted PC - no change............
    Same problem on other aircraft

    Suggestions welcome...........

Are you parked right next to a fuel bay that fills to the maximum automatically upon being in close proximity?

Aviation is not inherently dangerous but it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessnes, incapacity or neglect.

    Default Gas

If your are parked next to fuel pump, just don't set the parking brake and you should not be given any gas you don't want/need.

    Ant and Napamule..................

    Could be a possibility!!!
I need to check that as soon as I fire up the Sim.

Strangely, I had a problem two weeks ago with a 727 I had installed which, as soon as I opened the doors (Shift + E), they opened for about a second then snapped shut

Searching on this forum gave me the answer...........too close/adjacent to the fuel box

This situation, when double checked, with all the aircraft in my hangar!
But only in FSX..........in FS9 I have a default start at EGNM on stand 16 where this never happened.

Bless all who fly in FSX

    Thanks for the pointer

    Very interesting

Tried your method and it IS correct.
However, as soon as I set the brake (for engine starts procedure) the fuel goes up to max again

The "real" solution is to move down to a different gate which is what I have now done and will check each airport courtesy of FSC at max-zoom as to exactly where the fuel box is before I fire up FSX

The problem does not exist in FS9 but since purchasing this new PC I hardly ever use FS9 - now that really does contradict what I said about keeping both Sims active..................
