Default Newb question - install *.bgl files

Sorry to start with a very newb question. I have FSX and I just downloaded the Minnesota AFCADS zip file to get the KMSP airport. It has 7 files with the .bgl extension. I'm not sure what subdirectory to copy them into.

I did look at the "How to Install Enhancements", but it didn't cover .bgl files.

For that matter, am I even doing the right thing? Will the file AF2_KMSP.bgl give me nice scenery of the airport.

Umm, yes, I am very new to MS FS.

    Thanks in advance

Hello from Minnesota, That sounds like an older version of MSP. I searched the library here and couldn't find it so you might have to head on over to Avsim, but search for a file kmsp_ade_jv.zip by Jim Vile. It's much more recent. Just follow the install instructions and you'll be good to go. As for the other bgl's, simply place them into the Addon Scenery/scenery folder and the sim will rebuild the scenery cfg. Most should display correctly but remember that you are importing older airport scenery to FSX, so one never knows...Hope it helps.

Thanks. Will put the .bgl's I just downloaded into \Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\scenery

Then will look for the newer file as you suggest.

    Thank you again!

If you download Jim Vile's version of the airport, you must remember to remove the other version from your addon scenery\scenery folder, otherwise you will have two sceneries installed for the airport, and they will conflict.
