    Default RTW Leg 12 - Alderney to Le Bourget

    Trip distance 190 nm Total RTW distance to date 7710



    today we take a quick hop from alderney to paris



    a fly by of the eiffel tower with palais de chaillot and le defense ( the financial district ) in the background





    arc de triomphe





    le defense



    after a quick tour of the city we pass le bourget airport on our downwind leg



    we encounter a bit of weather on finals



    heading to park we pass the arianne 5 rocket, a fixture at the airport... le bourget also hosts the paris air show...also famous as the landing site for " lucky lindy's " ( charles lindbergh ) historic solo transatlantic crossing in 1927

    Very nice again! Paris looks good in your pics, I don't think you made friends at La Defense I'm afraid...

    Very cool Leg again! Great to see the Sights of Paris so close, I never got this close with my big Planes flying IFR... Beautiful!

    Super flight - interesting scenery today, especially at Le Bourget. Rockets - wow!!!

    yeah lol, its a good thing this is a VIRTUAL reality...reality often times has extra complications

    thanks Florian...yeah it's a lot harder to capture the sights with the jets
