MS CFS3 and it's sister expansions, ETO/PTO, MAW, BOB Anniversary Package, don't charge for upgrades or patches..

Not sure why the previous post said there is a charge as there is no charge from the Microsoft site: http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs3/downloads.aspx On the left side is a menu, click on "Downloads" and there you will find all the downloads for CFS3 including 3.1a.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I've just downloaded the 3.1a patch (ACUPDATE.EXE). I launch it, the install starts and immediately finishes with a message (in 5 different languages but not English) to the effect that the install operation was cancelled by the user (me!) - not true.

Is this a known issue and is there a solution for it?

I downloaded ACUPDATE.EXE a long time ago, and just for the heck of it I tried to install it again. I get the message - in 5 languages including english - that 3.1a is already installed. I would try a download again, and if it still does not work, I can send you my file if you provide an address.
