Thread: No AI Traffic, even though my slide is 100%

  1. Default No AI Traffic, even though my slide is 100%

    Installed Traffic X
    Uninstalled Traffic X
    No traffic at all?

    Any solutions?

    Thanks in advance. Oh ya, I finally am at peace with FSX with blurries. After months of tinkering, I found the gold with my systems. So nice just to fly and enjoy the sim.

    there is a traffic.bgl file. I'm at work and cannot check, but I think it should be in the scenery/world.scenery folder. check to see if you have it.

    I have not used Traffic X and do not know what it does to the default traffic.bgl. maybe it renames it as a backup...just a thought.

    I don't know if Traffic X might have gotten rid of the default AI traffic, and if it did, I don't know if uninstalling Traffic X might not have restored it. That's what could have happened.

    Checking to see if the Traffic list contains any aircraft might give a clue as to whether any are in the game.
    And if you click on one (example Dash-8)..

    Default No AI Traffic, even though my slide is 100%

    If it is like some of the other traffic programs, once you instal the main program, you might have to run the program to generate the traffic file. You might also have to add an entry in the FSX.cfg for where TafficX installed the AI traffic to, something like this

    [Main]
    User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter
    SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes
    SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft
    SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles
    SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats
    SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals
    SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc
    SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\TrafficX <----- this is just a guess, since I don't have the addon
