Thread: Cessna 172

  1. Default Cessna 172

Does Dreamfleet have plans to develop a Cessna 172 in the future? How about a 172S, or 172P, or better yet.............. 172RG Cutlass II! FS needs a real Cessna 172, a Dreamfleet one.

Thanks Chris. I actually have the Flight1 Cessna 172R. Great airplane, however, I was wondering if Dreamfleet planned to produce one of their own at any point in the future - such as the Cessna 172RG Cutlass II, or the Cessna 172P, or the Cessna 172S. There is no decent S model for FS9 or FSX and nobody has ever done the Cessna 172RG Cutlass II. Just a thought.

Maybe this one will do. Say's it's updated for FS9.
It was great, back in the days that I used it.

Is there much of a difference between the R and S models? I've never flown either model.

    Hey Chris,

Well not too much, other than the S is the newest of the two (even though they have both been produced by Cessna at the same time for about 8-10 years). The S also is offered with the G1000 cockpit (the R isn't) and has an 180 horsepower Lycoming (R has an 160 horsepower Lycoming). That's basically it. It is just a higher performance version of the R version with some extra features. It's different, but not significantly.

    Regards,
    Brennan
