    Default fly-by-wire

    Hi,

Does anyone know how to intercept the joystick position and move the elevator/aileron through code according to G-Forces, AOA, etc?

In other words, I don't want the joystick to move the surfaces directly, I want to move them using code after processing the given position, AOA, G-Forces, Speed, etc...

If anyone knows where to find information about this idea, I'll be most grateful.

    Thanks

The only possible method would be to use a registered FSUIPC to "intercept" the controller inputs, then divert them to your app, then write new data to the replace what you've captured.

We use this method for FADEC throttle control on the new Citation X v2.0 that was released today.

    thanks, I'll continue searching...
anyway, do you know the name of the variable that FS should use to represent the movement of the controls?

    thanks again

    Hello Bill,

I'm sorry to say this is not the only way. The Wilco Airbus I have developed have a fly-by-wire system and a FADEC that don't need FSUIPC to do this

I have the Wilco Citation X, does that use the same technique?

Okay, perhaps not the "only way," but rather "the only way of which I know..."

    I don't know about the Citation X, I didn't develop this one...
