    Default Lost Default 747 Aircraft.cfg File

    Hi all...first time poster here...

    I uninstalled one of those fancy payware panel programs I got for my 747, and now my aircraft.cfg is missing. I have alot of add-ons installed (SP1, FSUIPC,etc), so I don't particularly want to "repair" the FSX installation and make this an all-day project- I seem to recall that SP1 does some magic with the individual airplane cfg. files (but don't quote me on that ).

    Is there a way to extract just the B747_400 files off the disk? Or am I safe using the repair feature?

  2. Default fsx 747-400 cfg part 1

    Just make up new text document call it aircraft and add part "a" and then part "b" above posting into this new aircraft text document. Pat A above part B. Then add this new text diocument to your b747_400 folder to replace your missing aircraft.cfg. Just revome any extra [fltsim.xxx] I may have that do not match up with any of your texture.xxx in that folder. Sorry I had to break it up into two part. Forum has a limit of 30,000 characters to post.

    I have a similar problem which is very confusing. I made a back up of my aircraft.cfg before editing it but now have the original which will load, but shows all the textures as white? The new edited one which shows the textures up correctly but gives the following error msg when loading: 'aircraft initialization failure Boeing 737-800', but the aircraft do work. I cant figure out what is wrong? any help would be appreciated!

    You ned to make sure you have the relevant texture folders for [fltsim.0], [fltsim.],[fltsim.3], etc.

    What's probably happening is that your cfg file is looking for texture folders that are missing.
