Why Does FSX Start With Engines Off?

All of a sudden when I start FSX, the engines are not running.

I want the engines running!

I tried starting the engine on the default flight, hit escape, save the
flight, close FSX.

But next time I start FSX, the engines are shut down?

How do I get it to start with engines running?

Then when you saved that flight, your engine was off.

If you want it on, start the engine then save the flight with the engine running.

One other question: When your FSX starts up does it go to the default flight or to the Select a Flight screen?

I have found that certain add on aircraft will always start with the engines off. If you have a problem with the default FSX aircraft, I would do what was suggested. Go to the place you want to be, start the engines and use the ; key to save that as your default start up.

It goes to the default flight. I must then select the "select a flight"
screen to choose my aircraft to fly.

Also, I saved the default flight with the engines running.

My default flight is the Default C-172. FSX has always started
with engines running except for tonight.

I'll start the C-172 normally, then hit ESC, save the flight, save as default
flight box is checked, shut down FSX.

When I restart FSX, any aircraft I select starts with the engines off?
Including the default C-172?

Follow the instructions that bGets described above. Use the SEMI COLIN key [;] to save the conditions you want to return to next time... then check "Make This The Default Flight". No disrespect intended: FORGET the method you were using before. SPOFF
