Thread: RTW leg 4 - Aspen to Chicago

  1. #1

Default RTW leg 4 - Aspen to Chicago

trip distance 1050 nm - Rtw distance to date 1771 nm

thought i would test out the range on the mooney today..."lindz five" departure out of aspen

a few scattered low lying clouds on my way up to south dakota

    mount rushmore

long journey across the plains, it looks like they've already had a sprinkling of snow...had a nice tailwind at times

flying over the suburbs of chicago

thought i would take a quick tour of the city before landing, heading along the lakefront passing by the john hancock center

cruising by the tallest skyscraper in north america, the sears tower

landing at the now defunct meigs field...made it easy with about 20% fuel left in the tank

check out my last leg http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?t=189597

Very cool again! I like that you integrate some Sightseeings on your Trip! Super nice Pics!

    Thumbs up

Great set Gusto! Wish Mt. Rushmore did'nt look like it was "glued to the side of the hill" in MSFS but it is fun to check out those famous landmarks anyway! What's the next leg?

yeah it does look kinda glued onto the side of the hill...i think alot of the tourist sites in fsx are not as good as they were in fs9

I am enjoying this tour too! Nice to do a bit of sight seeing along the way as well - I really like the Chicago shots.
