i have a feeling today's going to be a fun flight

we reach the mogollon rim...Mt. Humphrey is on the horizon, it's the highest point in Arizona

arrive at the canyon after a short flight across the high desert plateau

decide to drop down for some free flight

scary stuff kids, flying by the seat of your pants...having the topo feature on my gps turned on helps

fly over a hawk...i saw about seven flying the thermals, if you're real lucky you'll spot a California condor

spot Cliff dwellers lodge airport...it's a really narrow dirt runway, just right of the highway

yeah it was only about 130 nm...i'll have a few legs that i'll test out the mooneys range which is about 1200 nm...i'm trying to get a good mix of interesting sights along with difficult airports and i'll throw in an easter egg once in awhile...thanks again for the posting tip

    cool! another mooney RTW trip!
The propeller is just a big fan in the front of the plane to keep the pilot cool. Want proof? Make it stop; then watch the pilot break out into a sweat.
