    Default REX or FEX?

I don't know if I should buy FEX or wait until REX comes out. How many of you are running FEX? what kinda FPS hits did you take?

I shouldn't be too long now before REX is released.

that's what the FEX people said about their weather engine................a year ago.

I have FEX and XGraphics and will probably get REX when it comes out. Currently use FEX for clouds and XG for road and airport surfaces except I use XG cirrus to reduce the FSX haze layer.

There is some performance hit but nothing exceptional unless you are in a huge tstorm near a dense airport like JFK or LAX - then you will notice it.

Yeah, but it's year later and "not too long now" is much closer.
If some have waited this long for REX, what is a few more weeks? They (very recently) promised it would absolutely be released before the end of the year.

If one were to believe all the promos for REX, it will probably be worth the wait.

What is the rush anyway. FSX wiil be around for at least another year yet.
