Default Saitek Evo USB Joystick problem.

    Hi all

I have recently had a recurring problem with the aforementioned joystick.
I start up flightsim with the default flight at KSEA in the Cessna before changing to any number of addon aircraft I.E Flight One ATR, LevelD 767, Dreamfleet 727 or any other Flightsim A/C. All is good at this point.

When I change to one of these other A/C my joystick loses it's axis which controls up elevator, all the other assignments of the stick are fine rudder, airelons, throttle etc.

Has anyone else had this problem? and what can I do to solve it? The stick is about a year old, had a previous Saitek Cyborg before and it was great for about 5 years, no problems whatsoever. I,ve checked the Saitek website for updated drivers and tried those, also tried XP drivers from within Windows.

If I need to replace Joystick for another USB nonforce feedback what would you guys recommend?

Sorry for all the questions but the guy who runs the fastfood joint at the 16 end of KSEA is sick of me parking American flight 69 in his diner when I can't get it to lift off the runway.

    Thanks in advance

Do you have FSUIPC? If so, try calibrating the stick there. Make sure Aircraft Specific checkbox is unchecked.

I have the unregistered FSUIPC version 3.75 I am not really familiar with using this utility to be honest It just sits in my Modules folder. I did try to upgrade it a long time ago but as I recall when I did it screwed up something so I reverted back to this version.

    Hi again

Found out that the joystick loses it's Y axis within windows itself. On PC start up the Y Axis is completley out of whack evenif I change USB ports the problem remains. I think I will attempt to take all Saitek related items out of the registry and off the PC but not holding out much hope. On further investigation it appeaers the newer generation of Saitek sticks have a bad habit of these types of problems.

I'd suggest posting on the Saitek forums, company staff actively help, you might have some luck there.
