Dakota GPS problems

I have a problem with the Dakota in FSX.
The problem is the Reality XP Garmin GPS.
I load a flight plan and all seems well but very soon the GPS locks up. It is still displaying the map and the various buttons still click but when I select them but nothing at all works,
I can’t even shut the GPS down. The rest of the Dakota is running fine and everything is working ok.
I have loaded the same flight plan into the GPS Trainer and it works fine. The plan loaded is from Benbecula to Glasgow with two waypoints created between.

I have tried downloading a new file for the aircraft with GPS and doing a complete re install but with no luck..

My first attempt at a solution would be to uninstall/disable/turn off anything other than the bare essentials. In your case, Track IR, and even disable the second monitor and run only one.

In my experience, the latest video drivers aren't always the best. If possible I suggest that you uninstall your latest drivers and install slightly older drivers and see if that helps out.
