Boeing 717-200 Panel

I have recently downloaded the AA B-717-200 for fs 2002. With the 717 panel that I downloaded, the main panel is in .jpg form instead of .bmp. When I tried flying the plane, the cockpit screen was complete black. I even tried moving the file to a different folder, but then the panel was only half there due to other files loaded. Does anyone know what I can do to make this file work? Otherwise the only instruments I have is the HSD and attitude indicator. (sorry if this seems to be a no-brainer for some. I'm pretty new to all of this...)

Why don't you try converting it back to a .bmp?

I tried that, but the image came out black and white.
