Thread: U2 from Beale AB

    Default U2 from Beale AB

Watched a documentary about the U2 the other day thought I'd give it a try. Didn't need my pressure suit and only got to FL650 before I got bored. Here's some of the shots as I climbed out of Beale at dawn.

Check out the curve of the Earth, never been this high in FS9.

    Nice shots!

I would have needed the pressure suit.

Awesome! I love the U2, and had the pleasure of knowing a USAF Colonel who flew these. Very small margin of airspeed between cruise flight and stall speed. He did mention not to eat any Chili or spicy food before the missions, then you really need the pressure suit for other things! Cheers! Mike

    Default oooohhhh...aaahhh!

Some more great shots. I especially like the one where you were looking down on the U-2 and the clouds were way down underneath.

Nice shots, the lighting effects on the base in the fourth shot are really cool.
