Texture problem

Has any one had this problem. Any time my plane leaves a contrail of lands in water or a dirt air field the dust,vapor, water, or waves on shore all go black. here is an example. I'm Running FSX Accelerated Nvida 256 card Duo core 4,6 gig 4 gig Ram 22 inch flat screen. Help Please The last picture I set a failure to an oil leak ,It looks like I'm on fire

The problem is most positively a compatibility issue. If you use non-service pack 2 effects you end up with problems like these too.

Do you have your most current video drivers and are your computer/FSX settings and configuration set to reflect what you own?

It has just started doing this about 2 weeks ago it has worked well with this new computer. I'll update the drivers and see what happens. Thanks

I'm still having issues I updated the driver. I'm running the Nvida Geforce 8600 gt. I get this Error message:

-0.349999999940395355200000000 is greater then
-0.4000000059604644800000000

Im also running Fs water configurator.

Any suggestions?

If you can remember what the configuration of your pc was two weeks ago, before you started having problems, return to that point. The pics look like what I experienced when I updated my Nvidia driver at one point. I returned to the previous driver and the problem went away. If you updated your driver recently, go back to the original and see what happens.
The other thing would be to go into your settings and dumb everything down then start bringing them back up one at a time. Take a snapshot of your settings first so you can put everything back where it was if that doesn't work though.

Well I rolled back the driver. Still not working.
I downloaded a latest driver. I changed the settings on the graphics . I changed the display settings .Still not functioning I switched to the Direct X preview and I get this (see thumbs) And I still get the same error. I have the display set to ultra high 1680 by 1050 pixels. I'm really starting to hate vista

ah!! I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Every shot you've shown is of aftermarket stuff. The cessna and the scenery are not service pack 2 compatible and you mentioned that you had acceleration, which contains SP2. There is no fix for this. You've gotta just look for add-ons that are SP2 compatible.

Here is a shot of the standard airplane that came with FSX and at fife lake here in Michigan with no add-ons . So is it effecting the whole system? Do I have to uninstall all of the non compatible planes? I have installed The Caribbean Tours And Snow Dog Tours It looks like the wave "mechanism" works but the texture file is missing or wrong. God I wish i would have paid more attention in school.

Didn't Phil Taylor recently work up and publsh a list of something like 52 SP2-compliant freeware aircraft? Over the Labor Day weekend? Maybe there are aircraft in the list that would stoke your furnace.

That would be cool. I'd like to find the link to the list.I don't know if it is the aircraft I have or other add-ons that is causing this problem
