Thread: Fsnav equivalent

    Default Fsnav equivalent

    Hello,
Considering that FSNAV is not made for FSX (I have to admit that I'm a bit surprise that noboday ever thought of rewritting the program for FSX since it was so popular....) what would be the closest program available today on the market (to get moving map and flightplan..) I have heard of flight commander but the interface is not as friendly as FsNav..

    Thanks,
    Greg

    cassis,

I have FlightSim Commander 7 for FS2004 and I like it very much. Its user interface is complex only to the extent required to support its powerful features. I have no experience with the equivalent FSX version which is ...
http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_i...d=1378&ref=135, $41.95 US, but my understanding is that it's essentially the same program but ported to FSX for the moving map etc.

Anyway, FSnav is no longer commercially available for FS2004, and it never was and never will be available for FSX. One thing you might look into is the freeware Super Flight Planner available here http://www.flightsimx.co.uk/add-ons/...nner-released/. I don't know whether this is the same program as an older freeware program by the same name. If it is then I can tell you that I personally greatly prefer Flight Sim Commander.

Just purchased Flightsim Commander this weekend. Reading through the manual it looks a great program. Can't wait to get to use it and whats more Flightstore in the UK have got it in their sale at the moment, but I think the sale ends tomorrow. Picked my version 8.2 up for £20.
You can also use Flightsim Commander for online flying with VATSIM and IVAO.
I have FS Navigator for FS9 and over the years have really enjoyed using this program.
Looking at the two I would say that Flightsim Commander is probably the better of the two programs.
    Hope this helps.
