Default Some alps flying with the C182Q

Been doing a small europe trip lately :P, wich has taken me a few days now, i tend to do small airport hops in the carenado C182Q, both to improve my flying skills and to do some sightseeing, the most exciting place yet is the alps (wich im crossing all the way), there is a downside though, the weather tends to stay between mountains and it got pretty violent on a few trips (heavy crosswinds over mountain tops etc) So far ive flown from eindhoven (EHEH) south through belgium and its ardennes, then a little part of france, and now into switzerland and the alps. i think i am going to head for italy next, then back into the alps of austria.

anyways heres some screenshots of some trips lately, theyre all 60-120nm hops.

Entering the alps, this shot was taken just before i entered them, the weather dindt look that great at that time.

Perfect, this is going to be fun, i was planning to do VFR, i decided to make some more altitude so i wouldnt smack into a mountain.. luckily i passed through the clouds pretty quick and it was clear on the other side of the mountain line.

    External shot.

Getting darker, i should have turned on my cockpit lights, landing on this Ghost-port for the night, there was no tower, no traffic, no frequencies to tune in. i suppose it was landing at own risk, i've spent the night here.

Next morning, drinking my hot choc and eating my apfelstrudel waiting for the weather to clear up, as i have to traverse through those clouds.
as i said before if youre unlucky they stay between the mountains.

All systems running and taxiing on the runway while it was clearing up pretty quickly, the snowy peaks is where i had to fly over.

    Taking off, starting the climb.

Putting the cessna to the test, i had to climb pretty steep the last bit, as i dindt go to steep on the takeoff.

Safely over the snowy peaks, into the valley where i was planning to land nearby. (this trip was only 45nm or so, pretty short) i actually did fly to another airport after this, also in the same valley, 30 miles ahead.

Making my approach, bit far to the right and pretty low too, nobody got hurt and my landing was pretty smooth too

Some real winners there! Loved the trip. Those cockpit shots are excellent.

    FANTASTIC SHOTS!!!
A excellent post to the forum. My favorites are No.1 and No.5 (which is "frameable") The Carenado Cessna 182Q is my absolute favorite GA airplane, and the designers did a top-notch job with it! I own every single aircraft ever made available from Carenado, including the Cessna 152 II and the Piper Tomahawk II from the old days of FS2002. (I wish I could get the older planes to work in FS2004) The perfectly scaled lines of the Skyhawk II have never been matched since, not even by the current Flight1 model. Carenado is the benchmark of all GA aircraft in my opinion
    Cheers on a top-notch post!

Youre right, i was amazed by the whole soundset, when you push the throttle to max it really does sound like an "Engine", the whole VC is perfect and nicely made, you can see the top of the dash and the nose if you put your seat high enough (wich is cool imo, i like to see the top of the dash) and the

    I agree buddy
Here's a shot of the Cessna Skyhawk II from Carenado (FS2002) The scale lines of the plane are perfect and 100% true-to-life.
