Thread: Scenery Tech vs GEX add-ons

  1. Default Scenery Tech vs GEX add-ons

I currently have Ground Environments X add-on, which is replacement textures for the default FSX scenery textures. I'm wandering how does Scenery Tech Landclass differ from GEX? Is it just textures that will replace the GEX textures or what? Is it an improvement over GEX or does it inhance or compliment GEX textures?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi,

2 differnet products! Landclass tells FS where to put things like towns, cities, fields, and forests. That's what Scenery Tech Landclass does. GEX is replacenmet textures. Once FSX decides what landclass to display, GEX provides the textures for that landclass. So, bottom line is that they compliment each other.

    Hope this helps!
    Thanks,

    Jim
