Landing is a joke, the navigation systems are too arcade easy, with an arrow pointing home ??
You cannot fly single missions, you have to interact with your wingman, plan the attack instruct them what to do, all this is nice and realllistic but with time you get tired and dogfights are boring.
Another goodone again in the eraly 90s was Eurofighter 2000. Stable, radar lock were reallistic, nice and smooth etc.
In the new games you have to tun into an arcade teenager to avoid being hit in a mission by several enemies (even chosing one-to one) you cannot campaign, so its more muscles than using flight skills.
I love flying an airplane...if in the process I can fire a couple of missiles and bombs...fine.
But I hate arcade and having to study the game built-in intelligence and learn to use your joystick as a tennis racket.
This must be so tru that military sims drop in popularity after the 90s
