Hope this helps!!
Another excellent link. Thanks
By the way, has anybody tried to land a float plane on grass?
I seem to remember this question came up before and some people claimed it could be done without damage to the aircraft. You wouldn't be able to take off again obviously but it sounds interesting.
I was reviewing the list in the above link, and not to nit pick, but technically B18 Alton Bay, NH is an ice runway used in winter.

I was once told that Lakes were sometimes intentionally landed on the grass to impress prospective buyers with their ruggedness.

See this site,

It looks like it's used all year long.
Just wanted to say thanx again for the response,printed the list of water sites and added them to my folder of maps and flight plans,the Youtube videos are excellent stuff!Happy Landings!AC1970...
Good to see the listing is useful for someone. Microsoft thought so much of the data they released their version about six hours after I posted mine. Their version was prettier, so Avsim pulled my version...
And I love this advice from one of the linked threads;
"Check under active runway. If it has North-South, East-West, then it's a seaplane base. All land based airports have numbers associated with runways."
Guess this user hasn't flown into any of the small scattered across the fruited plains? Not all runways have numbers.
