Thread: Runway and scenery

  1. Question Runway and scenery

I have just installed a runway at the location of an airstrip that exists in the real world, but is not a stock airfield in FS2004; but now I have trees and buildings sticking up through the runway! Is there any way to remove these scenery objects?

    All help welcome!

There is an exclude utility that you can use to remove unwanted default stuff. Unfortunately I'm not at home at the moment so I don't have the details at my finger tips.

Somebody can probably tell you what it is or you can google for it or, failing all that, I can tell you more when I get home.

Google FS 2004 scenery building. There is a PILE of stuff you can download.

    BTW, are you using AFCAD?

Many simmers use the program called ExcBuilder.

Here is a link - get the tutorial and the correction to the tutorial as well as the program itself.

    http://library.avsim.net/search.php?...root&Go=Search

It is very easy to use.

The creator of the scenery you are having problems with probably did not check his work with the Scenery Complexity set above normal and did not provide excludes for things which appear at higher settings.

Check your slider and set it to Normal and see if the wayward items are still visible.

Yes, that's the one. Once you get the hang of it it's very easy and effective.
