Default Vote - Computer Hardware Forum Needed?

LAST EDITED ON Apr-18-02 AT 01:26PM (EDT)[p]Although I haven't talked to Nels about this yet, I wanted to get an idea if people think it would be worthwhile to establish a dedicated computer hardware forum here at Flightsim.com, where video cards, sound cards, game controllers, etc. could be discussed.

It appears that there have been a number of hardware topics on this forum, which tend to push the FS2002 questions down that much faster. Likewise, FS2002 questions shuffle the hardware posts down without even a response.

So the question is whether a hardware forum is needed or whether we should continue to post such hardware questions/announcements here? Your thoughts?

That maximum is 450 pixels wide by 120 pixels high, and not to exceed 25k. Your compliance is appreciated.

IMO, that is a pretty good idea. You hit it dead on in regard to the pushing down of some posts.

Big question however would be if any of the 'long-term-members' (if I may put it this way) would be checking in there on occasion. Don't know why, but I have a feeling that that might become a problem.

    Definitely.

I also think there needs to be a separate forum for "How Come I Don't Hear The Marker Beacon Sounds?" That has to be the most-asked question here. ;-)

It's a good idea, but I fear no one will post hardware questions there. Instead, they'll post them in here. The forum with the most existing traffic gets the most new traffic.

Having said that, it wouldn't be a bad idea to at least give it a try for a while.

So in a convoluted kind of way of saying it...Yes!

p.s., forgive my inability to make a clear and concise vote. I'm living in Florida.
