Default DUAL MONITOR (CRT+TV) PROBLEM

Hi there, i have a Ati radeon VE, I'm trying to use my CRT monitor and the TV, I set my monitor as No. 1, and when i start fs2k2 it starts on the TV, wich is No.2 why is that? doesn't supose that fs2k2 start on the no1. display? what i'm trying to do is to use my TV for the view and the Monitor for the instrument panel.

another question how can i make to capture the screen shot of the display no.2

    thanks in advance

I don't have the Radeon but the V7100, but maybe this helps:
most programs will remember where you last put them on your desktop. Have you tried moving the FS window to your CRT?

Fullscreen apps will always go to the 'primary' display. In XP you can choose which monitor is to be your 'primary' display in display options on the controle panel. The No 1 display doesn't need to be the primary.

I'm not sure whether you can take screenshots from the TV-out, I haven't tried yet.

    good luck

LAST EDITED ON Apr-18-02 AT 12:26PM (EDT)[p]I had the same problem with my geforce 4 card with dual monitors. If you go to options/display/hardware in msfs2k2 their might be a choice between the 2 monitors mine shows display2/geforce4 and display1/geforce4.....

    good luck...

Thanks to both i will keep trying tonight at home, another question for expample when i end the flight and start again with the same plane the windows config restore to the original positioning of the panel, is there any way that when i start everything keeps their position.

about the display I have the menu bar on the monitor and the tv screen clear but flight sim starts and keeps always on the tv, why is that, i can drag the panel to the tv but cannot drag flight sim..

    Thanks to all

If you have FS running fullscreen or maximized, you cannot drag, otherwise (in my case anyway) if you can drag 1 window, you can drag them all.

I'm running fs2k2 in full screen and I can drag anything that is resizeable and if you right click and then undock you can move everything. I undock the main panel and move it to the other monitor and then I keep vc in display 2 and all else to monitor 1/ That way I have main panel along with flightmax and fsnav in the the first monitor and the vc in the second. That way you can change settings without having to switch views....good luck.

    Hello Again!!!!

i tried last night again. and more weird stuff happened. The fs2k2 keep starting on the 2nd.

display, so i decide to set the TV as the primary display to see what happens. And guess

when i started fs2k2 it shows up on the monitor wich is the 2nd. display, but when i

undocked the cockpit view from the monitor and drag it to the TV (primary display) the fps

    was ugly.

    Don't know what to do!?!?!?!?

How about adding another cheap PCI-VGA-card for panel view. :)
