    Default Newbie question

Sorry to interupt the great viewing, but I have quite a few pics I would love to share, but they are all bitmaps at 6+mb's and I am lost at how to convert them to jpg's or whatever is required to share them here. Any help would be great!!!!!

Allow me to post my semi-annual rave for Irfanview! It's a free image editor that can be configured to capture screenshots with a hotkey setting, and you can specify that it save in jpg format to the directory of your choice. Afterwards, you can edit the images if you like. It's free! Google it!

There are good freeware programs out there.

This is the one I use.

Thank you very much for the replies. When I get home tonight I will give them a shot.

The easiest solution, if you are on a PC with windows:

Go to your FS screenshot folder. Right-click the shot you want to convert. On the drop-down menu, go to "Open with....". Select "Paint". Go to "File"-->"Save As". At the bottom there is an option for filetype. Simply change the filetype to "JPEG" and you're set.

open them in MS paint! then quickly save them as... and click jpeg on the bottom! then use photo bucket to nicely post them here
