Default Contact Flap's Flap at 1380.0 Radio Future

Hello everyone! As you may or may not know, I'm the host and producer of Contact Flap's Flap at 1380.0, which is heard online at http://www.wnri.com and is also at my website: http://www.captainjohnfsx.net.

Here's where I need some valued input from you. I'm having a dillema here lately, and I am basically trying to decide weather or not to keep the show going, but if not, I'd still be doing product reviews and so fourth on my website. I have 3 more reviews to catch up on, and once that's over, I'm making the big decision to either keep the show or stop it. It can get very costly when you have a show going on (especially when you're working minimum wage) and it's getting to be a little bit troublesome.

Here's the thing. I'm setting up a poll here. Answer the polls as honest as you can, and please, by all means, if you have any suggestions (serious ones) for the show, I'd be willing to look at them closely. I'm on my 78th episode, and it will make it 81 if the show is to end on that. That's a little bit over a year.

I'm seriously contimplating this, and ask for your input. Have a good one all, and the results at the end of the week will decide it. If you reply with a no, please elaborate in a message? Thanks!

Keep it, but cut the show by half. Buy a case of Red Bull before the broadcast and improvise more and read from paper less. Interview people.

I didn't cast a vote because both options have such an air of finality in them. Love it/hate it. It's not always that clearly cut.

Hi johnny, never knew you had a website mate its great!...very well put together and interesting...

I have never heard your show but downloaded one of the saved ones from your site (150meg!...wav file!....if you could compress em to mp3 format i might of downloaded some m,ore or even all of em! lol) and it was very good....it could be very big if maybe you started to interview members of prominent flight sim community folk/developers etc...

All in all i was very impressed, you are very hooked (like me !) on everything aviation/flightsim and its a breath of fresh air to listen to other like minded folk like yourself discussing our flightsim obsessions!

Keep it up johnny its guys like you that make our hobby interesting and helps bring the community together, i think your site has some great ideas and is very professional ....................well done mate.

Thanks Soundwhiz and CSefston. I know the show can't be cut by half simply because it's all ready a half hour show. Sometimes it is hard to find information on the different topics, but maybe I might be able to improvise by adding jazzy sound effects like the Late Show does with David Lettermen or something like that to introduce segments.

Like I said, running the poll a week, so in the end it will tell, still not sure...

You could devote some time to comment on forum users and activities, such as posts that got above normal attention, or locked even, or offer your personal musings on various topics that concern us. "Don't get %!#& at the used car lot" could be theme where you could talk about what kind of research you should do on a developer/publisher before you part with your deutsch marks. You're the boss of your show and you can make it as interesting/dramatic as you like.

    Involve the community somehow.

Well, if it's costing you time and money and not getting much response, why would you want to keep it going?
