Default I've changed my graphics card

I recently purchased a 7900GT 516Mb card to replace my old 7600GT 256Mb. Did the swap over, updated the drivers to a 175.** (can't remember what this is at the moment) and started to go into the NVidia Control Panel to check the settings.

I came across something that I didn't have in my previous set up and that is "Maximum Pre Rendered Frames" which had set itself at 3.

Can anyone please tell me what this does and what a suggested value should be? Maybe it should be 3 because that's what's there at the moment.

By the way, did a quick flight last night with the new card and have to say the graphics are so much crisper. I did expect a little improvement but this was beyond my expectations.

    Thanks in advance.

ppg: How's the frame rates and what type of processor are you running? I'm using a 6600 GT with a P4-3.0Ghz and although it is sufficient most of time, it seems to be frame rate challenged in populated areas or add on airports. I've been telling myself to wait until I get a new computer, but maybe a better video card will make a big improvement in the meantime.

    Hi Lead

The CPU is an AMD Athlon64 X2 4400. The frame rate is locked at 25fps, on the ground in VC view, nearly always around 23/24, even in the taxi stage. Drops to around 20 at places like LAX, MIA, the more populated airports.

I had a 6600GT before I went to the 7600GT, it was a sweet card but it had to be replaced. I got the 7900GT off EBay for £36 incl p&p.

    Keep simin'
