I tried RivaTuner last night, and did things such as increase the fan speed, change the AGP rate, and that worked fine. Then I tried a little overclocking, and my system shut down when I clicked apply, presumably because a fatal error occured, to protect my hardware.
Anyway, I restarted my PC, and the overclocking settings were reset to default.
Maybe this just isn't for my card?
AMD Quad-Core 1.6Ghz
AMD Radeon Dual GPU (1GB Dedicated Memory)
6GB DDR3 RAM
Flight Sim X
I don't know. RivaTuner is one of the most reputable tuning tools out there. I have used it on prior systems with no problems. Personally I use the nVIDIA System Tools, simply because I can control my whole system (motherboard, fans, gpu, memory) all in one place. No offense, but your system may not be able to handle the card being overclocked. Your CPU is definitely a bottleneck in that setup.
OK. My performance isn't THAT bad anyway.![]()
