use the 'print screen' button on the keyboard.

    Hi Brian,

Whilst using PrintScreen will work, many users opt to use a dedicated screenshot package.

This is the one I use:

I use a proper screenshot utility too.

Here are the ones I have used:

    Fraps (also does video): www.fraps.com/

GrabClipSave (screens only): Do a search on Flightsim or Avsim.

    Hope I helped!

There are a number of free screenshot programs programs available.

My favorite (mainly because it uses so liitle system resources and has a number of useful options) is Screen Hunter.

    You can find it here:

Ctrl Prtscreen does work, but it dumps the screen capture to the clipboard. You need to open it in photoshop or some other picture editor and save it from there.

    Personally, I recommend Fraps.

    Hi Brian,

Very good ! By "work on" do you mean as ground crew support, aircrew or pilot ?

In the latest PC Pilot magazine there is an article about taking screen shots and doing videos from flight sim.

It looks very good, as are most of their articles.

Nice shot. Nice to see Stansted mentioned, as I drive trains in and out of the airport most days. Always keep an eye out to see what's parked up.

I use FSScreen, just press Print Screen and it's saved in the folder of your choice. Then open it with your editing suite and convert to JPEG and there you go.
Give it a go, you can find it here.

BTW just had a chap start recently at Bishops Stortford depot as a trainee driver who use to load freight at Stansted.
