Default Vulcan - Just Flight or Iris?

After disappointment of the Vulcan not making it to this year's Biggin Hill, I decided if I can't see it in real life I would at least see it virtually. So just before I went to Just Flight's website to but I thought I would have a look on youtube to see what the frame rate was like on other people's rigs and I came across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrJ_C9DozDo.

The model is not released yet but looks slightly more up to date but I'm not sure. Has anyone on here got the just flight version? I'm particularly interested in the VC any screenshots would be greatly appreciated. Also an indication of the frame rate hit would be useful too because the lancaster takes a big hit on the fps.

the justflight simulation is the PSS vulcan. the product has a great history in that a portion of the cost goes to restoration of a plane. some old numbers here -
PSS has received bad press ... but how much money have other developers given to keeping some real history alive?

Thanks for the links, and i do like the idea that some of the money is going towards preserving the vulcans.

I had looked at the alphasim vulcan but i'm pretty sure it was not for fsx unless there was an upgrade somewhere?

AFAIK the JF/PSS bird isn't for FSX either. It certainly is not an FSX native product, as it was created for FS2004 (or even FS2002).

No it is not native but it has recently been updated to work with FSX sp1 and sp2 (with some limitations) after some work by just flight.

Still not sure if the VC is good enough, i'm very picky . All the shots on the website are of the Vc in zoomed out view.

The pss Vulcan was great, i loved the smoke effects on take off, couldn't see any on the iris model....

having seen the Vulcan on numerous occasions it was a shame to see it drift into oblivion, i was wondering....have they got it flying in real life again?

Am off to fairford this year and nothing there will compete with the sight of a Vulcan on full bore roaring down the runway!

i still use my pss Vulcan in fsx it seems ok.... there was the awesome Koch media Concorde but it doesn't work in fsx........
