Thread: jetBlue Virtual Airline Opens Its Doors to YOU!

  1. Default jetBlue Virtual Airline Opens Its Doors to YOU!

    Hello, and thank you for stopping by to hear about jetBlue virtual Airline. I am Matt Hunter, CEO and Founder of jetBlue VA, and I look forward to sharing the next few minutes with you by sharing some exciting information I have for you about jetBlue Virtual Airline!

    ============================

    What is jetBlue Virtual Airline?
    jetBlue Virtual Airline (referred to as jBVA), is a simulation of JetBlue Airways that focuses on a relaxed, casual and friendly aspect of flight simming, while still providing a realistic and professional environment for you to fly in.

    ============================

    jetBlue VA is just another "new" VA, so why should I join IT, instead of others?
    It is true that jetBlue is a NEW VA, but it's not "just another new VA", that's for sure. jetBlue vA isn't here to focus on perfection and we feel that you should choose jetBlue VA, if and only if, you want to. One reason we may be able to give you is that everyone is welcome here, and that the requirements are simple:

    Fly. Have Fun. Be Respectful. Experience Flight Simulation Like Never Before.

    Simple, right? Of course.

    ============================

    What does jetBlue VA have to offer?
    Currently we have a fully functional website with a forum and resource center coming soon. Along with this we have a fully automated and completely functional/operational ACARS system in place for PIREPs, along with easy-access to our Member Area and fleet. We will also be providing a virtual money system in the future for use in our Forums and Member Area.

    ============================

    Virtual Money System? Do we HAVE to use it? And what is it?
    The virtual money system is a program we are developing to allow you to earn money, not based on EVERY flight, but based on a weekly activity. you'll be paid every so many days for your activity and then you can use this "money" to purchase things, such as your own Private Aircraft with jetBlue VA insignia/livery painted on it, or you can "buy" a repaint for your other VA or another aircraft with this "money", plus other aircrafts we may provide.

    This money is 100% VIRTUAL and losing it will NOT affect you in real life. Now, on to the first part... must you use it?

    Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOT! You get to choose what you want to do here at jetBlue VA, and this is one of those things. Why should you HAVE to do something you do not want to? The choice is yours and you get to make it.

    ============================

    Here is some of the work we've got completed so far:

    Website is completed except for one small area for pilot resources in the future. We're working on finding which ATC Service we want to follow as well.

    We now have a 100% fully functional FS ACARS system including the flights page, map and of course the roster. Included in our roster is a virtual pilot money system that we will base off each flight and your activity and you will be paid by jetBlue VA for being active. This money will SOON be able to grant you access to areas in our upcoming forums, and grant you access to other things such as new aircraft liveries etc...

    We still need the following staff, so if interested please apply!

    Chief Operations Officer
    Director of Human Resources
    6 x Hub Managers
    Corporate Division Director
    Commercial Division Director
    Chief Instructor
    Asst. COO
    Chief Corporate Pilot (elected-in by pilots)
    Chief Commercial Pilot (elected-in by pilots)

    The fleet is up and all is good... we just need pilots! So, please, come on and visit us at, oh and... do not forget to JOIN:

    Site: www.jetblueva.co.nr

    Thank you and I look forward to seeing some of you soon!

    Sincerely,

    Matt Hunter

    A few words of advice. Should the real JetBlue folks come across your website, they will most certainly have some not-so-kind words for you. Jet Blue is very protective of their logos, etc., and do not take kindly to people using them.

    So, be prepared to forget the whole idea if they hear of it. They have a team of lawyers who would most likely shut you down.

    Thank you for the advice.

    I have given credit to the real JetBlue via the copyright at the bottom, also I'm infringing no names/trademarks or copyrights since I have added Virtual Airline to the end of it. I've displayed that we are simulated only and not affiliated with the company and I've gotten approval before makign any of this.

    Again, thanks for the concern, but I've already cleared it with them.

    I just wanted to alert you to the possibilities. They have never previously given permission to use their name, logos, etc., (they were very adamant in this regard) so maybe they've had a change of heart, I don't know.

    As said before, thanks for the concern. They assured me that if I placed a visible "regard/notice" on my pages that jBVA was in NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH or a PART OF JetBlue Airways, I'd be fine... they didn't give me logo approval as I said and they assured me since I'm calling it jetBlue Virtual AIRLINE I would have no issues, seeing as it's not AIRWAYS.

    It was complicated, but I spent nearly 12 hours on the phone, fof and on, with them for the past few weeks, sorting it out.
