I've flown all over Europe and really enjoy flying over and into the Alps so with that in mind I thought I would recommend a nice flight here in America.
Try flying your favorite plane from Salt Lake City, Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. You'll see why many in the US call the area America's Alps. You need a high flayer as the cruising altitude is around 15,000 or higher depending on the weather. I also recommend you fly it so that you'll arrive around sunset.......beautiful with the sun hitting the Grand Tetons.
In my Cessna 441 the flight takes around an hour or so.
Fly IFR if possible cause it's a great place for an instrument approach especially if you use 'real weather' (the only way to fly)
JMHO of course
