Thread: Level-D 757 Release

    Default Level-D 757 Release

Anybody else getting sick and tired of walking on egg shells around the LDS forums? I feel like if I say ANYTHING about the 757 or ask about it, people get all uptight and defensive. Since when was it such a bad thing to show us some screenshots? It's like making children wait months to open their Xmas presents...

    Maybe it's just me...

    Thumbs down

'levelD' has talked about making a 757 panel/plane since FS7/8 (back when 'they' were 767PIC).

there has been no official announcement that they're working on it AFAIK, only forum posts hinting at a 757 at some point after the 767 is "done" which if you know software engineers is a joke on outsiders.

Well it certainly is the quickest way to kill excitement about a project.

    1 February 2008

Level-D Simulations is developing the 757 for FSX.

There will be no further announcements about its development until such time as the developers choose to post information about the 757 for FSX.

There will not be a FS9 version of the 757.

Please do not post any new threads about the 757 as they will be removed.

    Sincerely,

It's really the similar-minded attitude of this last statement that exemplifies my point. They don't want to hear about our wishes for it, or that there are hundreds if not thousands of eager customers. Really borderlines on rude IMHO. I understand they probably get flooded with questions about it, so post a FAQ about it and leave it at that.

    Default Level-D 757 Release

I guessthey just don't want us to get our hopes too high on a release of a 757 from them, so that if they decide not to release one, we won't be too disappointed. I would think they would want us to post on their forums to generate excitement on an upcoming release. It makes me feel like they wish to release a product of their own creation without considering what we would like to see in thier product. They must have thier minds made up as to what it will be like, and don't want our input as to what it should or should not have. If this is their attitude now, I'm not sure I would want to purchase this product for who knows what their customer/technical support will be like. I do love thier 767. It is one of my favorite addons. I have the FS9 and FSX versions and fly them quite often. I just find it hard to believe that they are so hush hush about the 757. Just my thoughts.
