How do you make a good screen shot of the msfs screen?
Like of the airport from the air? do you pause?
Can you get a pic from a video clip?
Or do you just take a pic with digital camera?
Don't seem to get a satisfying pic.

There are many techniques available... One is to press the print screen button and paste into paint... another is to download a screen capture utility like Fraps.
Do you need to know how to get the screenshot?? Or how to make
a good screen shot??
The best way to get a screenshot is FSscreen!! It is very simple and
free!! You just put the little Icon in a folder and open it, then each
time you press "print screen" it saves a picture in the folder!!
Then you need Irfanview to resize, sharpen and crop the shot!!
Irfanview is the greatest, best, easiest to use image program there
is!! It is also free!!
Making a good screenshot?? Well that is something that comes with
time!! Just do some and post them and we will let you know what
you need to do, just don't let it hurt your feelings, we are just trying
to help!!

I have had very nice results with the in game button 'V'.
I do sometimes pause and set an angle for lighting, content etc and then snap it.
After that you can crop it with either a freeware or payware imaging program to improve the composition of the shot (knowing something about photo composition is the difference between a screenshot and a really great post), do a google search on Photo Composition and Rule of thirds.
I use photoshop for cropping and almost never do anything other than crop and resize, I don't like to apply other effects as I think it robs the viewer of the purity of the sim...
And thats it... I fly, I watch for great scenes and when they happen, I hit the button... Its the exact same technique I apply to photograpy in the real world.
It is also why I sometimes go 3 months without posting a screenshot... Sometimes it takes 3 months to get the perfect shot.
Thanks guys for this info, much appreciated. I now have plenty of ideas to try,
Thanks again,
Cheers Davejey
Also try FRAPS (does videos too) and GrabClipSave for screens.
