Default Afcad, What do these numbers mean ?

    Hi,

A question re the Parking Specs file in Afcad, the one thats in the FS9, in my case AI Utilities folder, can somebody tell me what follow means please,

    Qantas,160,50,0,QFA
    Qantas (Regional Partners),160,50,0,QFAX

Ok, so the problems lies within the numbers, what do they mean and if I add my own airlines to this list, what do I need to add to make my new airlines show up and park where they should, would like to change Qantas to QFI for Internationals and QFD for Domestic. Does it matter if there is other airlines with these same codes.

    Thanks

The numbers in the parking list in AFACD refer to what color the parking spot is when that airline is present in the parking spot. For example when you enter QFA into a parking spot it turns to a different colour as opposed to the default green. These numbers determine what colour that is. In order the number values refer to the shade of Red, Green and Blue (RGB). Otherwise no value means it will remian the default green colour.

As for the parking code issue you can use those codes to split your domestic and international traffic (many people already do this and sometimes developers do this when they create flightplans). I cant think of any major airline using either code but if you do have any traffic which already is assigned to either code at the same airports then there will be twice as many aircraft competing for the number of parking places, but as I said if you dont have any traffic using that code you wont have a problem.

Just amend the codes that you want in AFCAD under the relevant parking spaces - then that should be it. You wont need to create a new airline entry in the AFCAD parking list as both international and Domestic will use the same callsign etc etc.

    Hope this helps
