Thread: Stumped

Sorry, but I'm out of ideas. I'm trying to figure out whats keeping my screen-name-password (that I used to get on the forum) from letting me access and download files. It will ask me for the info(its actually saved) I'll enter and "Inccor. Pswd" appears, go to help screen, same thing. Is there like 2 different sites that need diff info? My browser is set up correctly. Did I just miss something? I cant even get on the upgrade page, same message . I know its probably dirt simple and obvious, I got bone-head-itis-ism.
    Thanks'
I'd use my screenname but it would probably get rejected.

    Irish,

It sounds to me like some kind of browser setting problem. Is your Windows Firewall running? If so, try turning it off for test purposes. Are you set to accept cookies? If not, try accepting them for test purposes.

    Let us know what happens,
    I hope this helps,

This site, (the forums), and the main site: www.flightsim.com each require their own sign-up---username, and password to gain access. You can use the same username/password combination, but you need to join each site independently of each other.

I think this is your problem: you are registered only for the forums, and not at the main site.

Checked with firewall off, checked against cache fix screen;Nada. I had seen somehing on here about two different sign in' but when I go where I'm directed, my name (Irish) and password are filled in. I hit log-on and a screen comes up Invalid Password. I shouldn't have to re-up from scratch should I? If so, where /how as my info pops up wherever I've tried and I'm back spinning my wheels.
BTW- Thanks for the time and effort.

Am I missing a "Join" or "Sign Up" link somewhere on the www.flightsim.com page??

Way down at the bottom of the page there is a "Join" button to click on and sign up.

Are you using Firefox as your browser? That could explain the username/password info being displayed, but you may not be registered at both sites.
