Thread: FSPassengers opinions?

    Default FSPassengers opinions?

Sorry, but in my never ending journey to enhance my FS experience, I've been reading some reviews of this product and was wondering if anyone had any opinions about it.

I'm at work right now, but plan to download the demo tonight to try it out before the Flames-Sharks playoff game on TV.

    Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

I like FS Passengers very much, it makes the experience of passenger airline flight much more immersive, and it's a lot of fun. My only criticism (and it's a BIG criticism) is you cannot save a flight in progress and come back to it later. So if you want to fly from Paris to LA with it, you gotta do it in real time, or else stick to shorter routes (unless you have a lot of spare time).
But it's worth getting just for the passengers screaming when you bank madly to scare them.
    ;D
I love the smell of napalm on my cornflakes.

You'll find FSPassengers to greatly increase your flying skills. I still remember after having flown my first flight in it, thinking to myself that I'd done a good job, until I read the post-flight report and discovered that I'd broken pretty much every rule there is! It's good being able to focus on details that you don't usually consider: vertical touch down speed, average airspeed, the correct use of lights, the effect of different-weight passengers and their cargo on your CofG, fuel consumption, correct use of seat belt signs, cabin announcements and inflight entertainment, managing your own airline and it's pilots, even full passenger lists! You'll greatly enjoy it if you do decide to buy it.

I personally won't be buying FS Passengers, I feel it is too critical of your flying ability. I don't need software that acts like a virtual mommy, praising me when I do good, or scolding me when I do bad.

Amen to that. I don't care for this sort of thing either. I like doing what I please, when I please. So what if I make loops or rolls in a Concorde. It's my flightsim, and I don't need any software to tell me what to do when I want to have fun while flying.

Fair enough, we all get different things out of our sim experience. Sometimes I want to be ultra realistic - and sometimes I want to buzz the hangars at Heathrow with a Messerschmitt!
But some people want to be tightly critiqued to give them more of a goal when flying. It's all down to individual preference.

Although, since you did mention screaming in your previous post. I wonder what happens to the critique when you do loops and rolls and high vomiting G maneuvers. Have you ever tried making the passengers throw up so badly? And what do the results say if you do? Do your flying privileges get revoked?

I took a rear seat passenger up in Hawk once and the flight report was less than happy that I pulled 7.8Gs... It's funny you hear the sounds of screaming if you start doing very sickening maneuvers. On top of all that, I even forgot to turn the no smoking sign on.
