Is Flight Environment X a seperate eng.?

Is Flight Environment X a seprate engine, ie. you have to pick "shemes" to fly through, or does it change the texutres ans still allow you to upload "live weather" like the default 15minute download info FSX does normaly?

If it does, is it impresive enough for the money?

Hi,

Right now FEX contains no weather engine or data or weather themes. It is environmental textures and then you use whatever weather source you like, such as Active Sky X.

I would highly recommend Active Sky X if you are looking for a weather engine. Coupled together with X Graphics you will have some amazing sky environments both to fly through and look at.
