I started out with nothing...and I still have most of it!
I make good decisions based on my experience. My experience came from making bad decisions!
It's nice to see that they actually allowed comments from passengers that downplayed the danger. Thanks for the good link!!
I love it when people post aviation news video links. They only serve to further this forum and keep us informed. I look forward to seeing what people post in the future.
bumpsidaisy! Is this Hamburg without the go-around? I'd like to know what the conditions were like in both Houston and earlier in Hamburg.

If you're talking about the recent Airbus A320 in Germany that scraped the wing on the runway, I know that they were trying to land during a thunderstorm when the wind suddenly picked up while they were on short final and there was a recorded wind gust of 155 MPH. I think the pilot in that situation did an awesome job saving the airplane; he should get a medal or something.
Not sure what the weather was like in Houston when this happened, besides 'windy" as the passengers said. Looks a little breezy though since there was an airport worker running after a trash bag on the runway in the video!
I remember a few bumpy landings
once we hit hard enough for an overhead bin to open
and another the flight attendant said to be careful opening
the bins, the luggage deffently DID shift after that landing.
Instead of the normal, luggage may have shifted speach
