Default It's A Flat World After All?

Hello all, I've been creating scenery for ages using various programs, including Airport (even the old versions that had other people's names on them like Pascal M along with Mr Hiscox.)

I've been using AFCAD to flatten the terrain for fictional airports and whatnot, but then I had someone else test them and even though everything works great for me, for others things aren't flat. So it was suggested I use SGX to create flattens. I hadn't used SGX in a while, but was familliar with it, so I gave it a go.

But my areas where I'm trying to flatten don't change. I can see the program reading the new files in the first time I lauch it after creation.

I'm doing this for FSX. Any suggestions as to what could be going on?

    Thanks

    Andy

    Default Flatten And Exclude

I, too use SceneGenX. The program will NOT do either FLATTEN or EXCLUDES for FSX. I use SbuilderX to do these FUNCTIONS. It will also do excludes for AUTOGEN. (Get rid of those trees growing out of your Runway) It's the only FREE utility that I have found to do the Job.

Agree that SBuilderX will solve your problem much better.

    Hi Guys
I am not sure what you did wrong but ScenGenX will flatten and excludes for FSX just fine, you can see my latest scenery made for FSX with ScenGenX here in scenery area under the FSX section.

    Default ExcludeAutoGen

I agree that it will do flattens, but I was more concerned that I could not exclude the autogen of TREES growing out of the Taxiways. I had to use SbuilderX and use the AB_ExcludeAutoGen under the VECTOR POLYS. Does anybody know how to do it with SceneGenX????
Since I was using it for the trees, I did my flattens at the same time.

Removing autogen trees requires using a polygon created using Shp2Vec. I am not familiar enough with ScenGenX to know if it can create this type of bgl file.
