Wilco Airbus Series Volume 2

Just purchased this addon and had some problems getting installed but finally working OK.
Still have one issue in that the FMGC has no data except the tutorial flight. Even this has no STARS or SIDS. This is my first addon purchase so not sure if it should be like this or not. Where can I get nav data and how do I install it.
Running FSX SP1 and 2. Windows Vista Home Premium. Duo core E6750 @2.66 GHz. 3GB RAM. NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS.
Apreciate any help as the manual is OK but not that great.

there are SID/STAR, you choose these after defining the rwy you takeoff and land.

Thanks for your comments however I have tried that and it just says SIDS (none) and STARs (none).
I can not find any routes or any airports. Its like the data does not exist although I can find a file under FSX\FeelThere\Nd which appears to have all the data

oh the world of VISTA ...

you may have a read error issue becuase of VISTA's 'security' protections.

did you install the Abus as administrator?

do you run FSX as administrator?

do you have User Account Control (UAS) turned off?

Many thanks..finally managed to get flying OK.

One last question..any suggestions for some good reading material on using the FMGC. I have a basic understanding but would like to get a lot more detail.

http://www.smartcockpit.com has a wealth of information on the A32x/330/340s.

within the A32x section there is a full FMGC manaul (http://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/airbus/A320/). the nice thing about an Abus is one is mostly like another. look for the "FMS Pilot\'s Guide". this is a BIG pdf file (~26MB) so have a large quantity of Starbucks on hand

there are also A330 and A340 pages with lots of good info.

Hi. I have a problem with my wilco airbus series vol 2 and i wonderd if someone could help me. I installed it and that went fine but when i started fsx and chose an airbus from the add on and fsx shutts down

follow these steps -

create a flight at your departure airport using a default FS aircraft ... say the cessna 172.
once loading the game set the engine OFF, and the batts and avionics ON.
after 15ish seconds use FS's pull down menu to select the airbus.

if you are using win7 or VISTA be sure UAC IS OFF before installing the product.

if you are using win7 it is recommended that FS is not installed in the /programs directory. win7 'security features' will cause faults with FS and addons.
