Well, John, this is an almost known problem that happens at some (not all)Hi,
I am having problems with landing on ILS approach, the aircraft follows the
glide path until around decision time at around 300ft then abruptly rolls to
the right or left. This does not happen always but enough to be be a real pain.
Is there something I am missing or is this possibly a software problem.
Would appreciate any help.
Thanks John
airports and with some (not all) aircraft. It may be caused by the fact that
the localizer transmitter is situated in a lateral offset with respect to the
runway.
But keep in mind that this is realistic as a common ILS is not an autoland
device. In real world aviation the auto pilot is disconnected at least at
decision hight and the touch down is performed by hand.
Clear skies,
Alex
