freezing computer

I am experiancing problems with my computer freezing for no apparent reason. Its not due video cards because other games work fine on my computer. I also had this problem in FS2000 which started occuring 5 months after i bought it.

does anyone have any ideas?

I also have this same problem. But I uninstalled FS2002 then reinstalled, freezing went away. But a new problem came up. Now when I am in FS2002, just at random (about half the time) it makes my computer restart. The other half of the time it gives me the dreaded "Send Error Report" message. My specs:

AMD Athlon 1600+
Asus A7V266 Mobo
384MB PC2100 DDR
40GB 7200RPM hard drive
16x DVD-ROM
16x10x40x CD-RW
64MB VisionTek GeForce 3 Ti200 w/ 6.13.10.2311 drivers
-Anti-Aliasing turned off
AOpen AW-840 PCI Audio
Windows 2000 Professional w/ Service Pack 2

I also downloaded the Athlon AGP patch and only BIOS updates to the motherboard are available.

Maybe its the inverse of freezing causing your system halts. Have you checked to see how uncold your system is getting, are the fans all working, are the exhausts plugged with lint, dust, etc?
