Does anyone know why I get this message on a downloaded pane?
The panel is 737200al.zip, the best free-panel I have seen with 11mb size.
But it keeps giving this message and every time you change views the engines
shut-down and you have to press ctrl-E again.
Also, recently this panel has also started to cause an "unexpected file error"
and fs2000 shuts down. I am downloadind this massive panel again and
re-installing it to see if the problem goes away...
[Sound file 'invalid']
Have found that some of the older panels do this on aircraft selection. It
appears to be usually the startup switches, and a holding down of the enter keyHi ThereHi Art,This should be in the FAQ. However, no one reads the damned thing anyway, so Iremedies this. Why the sound file is blamed I don't know. I have only
experienced this during loading, and not at any other time. Maybe a change of
guages one at a time would sort it out? I would start with the starter
switches. Good luck !!
guess it doesn't matter.
The sound file is "invalid" because there's something wrong with it. It's a
function (almost always) of the HGHB gauges. The creator(s) of the gauges is
German - hence the German word you see in the error. Buried way back somewhere
in these archives is a fix - damned if I can remember where it was though.
Maybe Alex will come along eventually and bail us both out!
If you knew which gauge you could just swap it out. BTW,did ya catch
I have found that the faulty 'gauge' is usually either a radio altimeter that
is set up to give sound alerts at certain heights or a 'brake' gauge set up to
give aural warnings. Cure is to either delete the gauge or replace it with
Addendum - I should have added the it is caused by an accompanying sound fileClyde W, New Zealand
note released with the gauge - the original gauge has the sound file
accompanying it but many third party 'addoners' do not realise the need to
include it. Clyde W
