    Hiya,
Anybody help me on the following?
When using some aircraft downloaded from Flightsim, the artificial horizon
indicator appears to be off. ie it just skews over to one side of the display
and refuses to move. This does not affect the backup instrument and only
affects some aircraft. Do I need to switch something else on? Thanks
    pghfd,
If I've understood your problem right, you need to operate the "backup electric
vacuum pump", which is activated (on default settings) by CTRL + U.
Several applications of this keyboard combination should cure the problem.
If you want to assign this function to some other key, key combination or
joystick button, go to OPTIONS, CONTROLS, ASSIGNMENTS and scroll down the list
(quite a long way) until you reach:
    Backup electric vacuum pump on/

    Hope this helps,
    Peter Preston

Look in the menu for your ASSIGNMENTS. There's a backup vacuum system. Assign
something not currently being used (like CTRL+ALT+V). If the vacuum system
fails, just press your magic keys and watch the AI right itself!

the SEND button once and please wait patiently for the return to the read mode.

It's run by a gyroscope that is powered off of the vacumn pump! If the engine
isn't running, the vacumn pum p won't be either. If the engine is running and
it still doesn't work, go to the Options-Controls-Assignments menu. Scroll down
to close to the bottom to find a line reffering to the Vacumn pump backup being
on or off. Assigh a key combination to it (I use Ctrl-V). Now you can turn it
    on if it isn't working.
Gee I hope all the ensuing messages by you aren't repeats!

Ironically, when I signed on last night I got kind of excited. It looked like
there were a bunch of posts! There were - but that was a lot of BS wasn't it?
